On April 16th, Oknha CHAO YUNTER, Chairman of ASEAN East Asia Friendship and Peace Foundation, entrust the assistant Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhaily, EVAN CHAO, to hand over 30,000 kilograms of rice to the Prime Minister Hun Sen's Bodyguard Unit in fight the outbreak of pandemic in Cambodia-Thailand border provinces such as Battambang and Banteay Meanchey. Since April, pandemic situation in Cambodia has become worse, a lot of provinces and cities locked down and face the problems of food. There are many workers influenced by the pandemic and temporarily unable to go neighboring countries for work. Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Sen has allocated funds for border provinces to fight the outbreak many times, and n response to the call, the Foundation urgently purchased 30,000 kilograms of rice and donated to some border provinces, in a bid to back up local people in fighting the pandemic. Oknha CHAO YUNTER said that, the current Cambodian pandemic prevention and control has reached a critical moment, and some people have temporary difficulties, especially the people in border provinces that need more attention, so he hops that the donation can help the people there to overcome the difficulties.
